2022 canCode Teen Hackathon

Description

This is canCode's second ever hackathon! Join as an individual or part of a team of up to 3 middle or highschoolers. In this hackathon, you will be challenged to code a game in Scratch (a block-based coding environment) that can be taught to younger kids and an optional accompanying curriculum. There are many great prizes and trophies available for the winners along with canCode swag for everyone! (canCode T-Shirts will be given) You’ll earn 10 hours of community service if you submit a finished project link, regardless of if you win or not. Additionally, game submissions should follow the theme that will be released upon the day of the event. Food and drinks will be provided! canCode primarily teaches elementary schoolers computer programming through the creation of a video game or project, and winning submissions will be used for some of our future workshops!
